State Minister Nalaka Godahewa had posted a controversial statement on social media

State Minister Nalaka Godahewa has been criticized an opinion expressed regarding the resignation of Mr. Lohan Ratwatte on social media for posting a note on his Twitter account.

Mr. Godahewa has stated that when a politician crashed into a television station a few years ago, the then government did not take any action.

But it notes that the current government is happy to respond quickly to unacceptable events and does not feel that anyone is above the law.

However, commentators on social media note that the politician remembered by the Minister is former Minister Mervyn Silva.

Respondents say that the then President was the current Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the then President was the then Defense Secretary.
