Doctors request to maintain the travel restrictions untill September 18

According to the Sri Lanka Medical  Association, travel restrictions should be maintained until September 18 to reduce further reports of infections.

Its chairperson, Dr. Padma Gunaratne, said that the number of reported cases of infections had dropped due to restrictions on travel.

She points out that although the travel restrictions are not very strict, it would be more appropriate if they could be maintained as they are or until the 18th.

She expressed these views at a media briefing held in Colombo.
