Uruwarige Heenmenika, the wife of tribal leader Uruwarige Vannila Aththan has died due to a corona infection.
She died at the Peradeniya Hospital yesterday afternoon.
She has been receiving treatment for a kidney ailment for some time and has been hospitalized with a corona infection for about two weeks now.
She is a mother of nine children.
