Rs 2000 allowance only distributed only among authorities friends

Low-income earners in the Norwood area,
are complaining about not receiving the
Government allowance of Rs. 2000 / – for low-income earners who have lost their livelihood Due to the curfew imposed.

They also complain the Village Service Officers and the Village Committee in the Norwood area give the allowance for their loyal friends that aren’t low incomers

Residents in the Norwood area said there were many people in the Norwood area who did not receive the money and the Grama Niladhari had given an allowance of Rs.2000 Only for a token issued by the village committee of the area.

Grama Niladhari said while he was speaking regarding this allegation because they received only a very limited amount of money to pay to low-income earners all those recommended by the village committee were unable to pay the amount.
