Three persons have been hospitalized after being assaulted by a group of armed men in the Gurunagar area in Jaffna on the night of the 22nd, Jaffna Police said.

Three persons who were staying on the Gurunagar beach road were attacked by a group of unidentified persons who had come on two motorcycles and attacked them with sharp weapons including swords, the assailants told the police.

The Jaffna Police further stated that an extensive investigation has been launched to arrest those involved in the attack.
