Bogawantalawa Police have arrested five suspects who were transporting liquor without a license to sell at high prices in estate areas during the curfew.

A raid was carried out on information received by the Bogawantalawa Police Intelligence Unit that the suspects will be loaded into vehicles and transported bottles of liquor from liquor shops in Bogawantalawa town with the announcement that the curfew will be imposed.

At the time of arresting the suspects, they had seized 124 bottles of liquor and 48 cans of beer approved by the government.

Bogawantalawa police have arrested the suspects and the stock of liquor bottles.
