It impossible to control the spread of the delta strain of the corona virus, using vaccination- The Association of Specialist Physicians

The Association of Specialist Physicians says that it impossible to control the spread of the delta strain of the corona virus, using vaccination.

Its chairman Dr. Kumara Fernando points out that despite the rapid vaccination process in the country a large number of infections have been reported with the Delta expansion today.

He added that it would take more than six weeks for the vaccine to develop immunity, and that it would not be possible to take full advantage of the vaccine with the Delta expansion.

He further said that the reporting of infections in the coming week would be crucial given the current situation.

He added that the situation would get worse if the authorities did not take the right decisions at the right time.
