The access road to Colombo has been temporarily closed due to the construction expansion of the Kelani Bridge.

The entrance to Colombo from the Kelanitissa roundabout on the Baseline Road to Orugodawatta Junction will be closed from 5.00 am today (14) to 5.00 am on Monday (16), police said.

Vehicles coming to Colombo will be able to enter Ingurukade Junction via the Kelanitissa Roundabout, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Mawatha, Armor Barber Junction, Maha Vidyalaya Mawatha to Pettah, Armor Street, Panchikawatte Roundabout, Maradana to Pettah and Borella.

You can also return to Baseline Mawatha from Pradeepa Mawatha, Saddharma Mawatha and proceed towards Dematagoda.

However, the road from Orugodawatta Junction to Kelanitissa Roundabout is still open for vehicles leaving Colombo.
