75% of the infected people in colombo are infected with covid 19 delta variant- Dr. Chandima Jeewandara

It is reported that more than 75% of the infected people identified within the Colombo city limits are infected with the Delta variety.

This was stated by Dr. Chandima Jeewandara of the Institute of Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

He wrote on his Twitter account that the number of patients infected with the Delta virus had risen from 19.3% in the first week of July to 75%.
