Corona infected patients in Dambulla Base Hospital have staged a protest at the hospital premises

A group of people infected with the coronavirus who is being held at the Dambulla Base Hospital have staged a protest at the hospital premises saying that the hospital facilities are not adequate.

The ward reserved for corona patients at the Dambulla Base Hospital has seventeen beds. But protesters said more than 70 people were being treated in the 17 beds.

Therefore, they claim that there are two or three infected people in one bed as well as patients in the beds and the corridors. They told hospital officials had nothing to do with it now.

They added that all these patients have only one toilet and there is a shortage of food in the hospital.
