09 maids declare they were subjected to assults including burning and Two rooms in Bathiudeen’s house are sealed

Nine of the 11 girls who were allegedly abused at the home of former minister Rishad Bathiudeen have been informed by investigators that they had been subjected to a series of tortures, including burning and assault.

The CID has already sealed off several rooms in the house, alleging child abuse during the former minister’s tenure.

Although this official residence has been given to the Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena since the election of the present government, as he has a house around Colombo, part of it was used for a while as a relief food parcel processing center for the people affected by the corona.

However, Minister Gunawardena has already taken steps to reject the official residence where child abuse is suspected and to inform the relevant authorities.
