Sri Lanka is the most successful country in controlling this epidemic in the South Asian region- Namal Rajapaksa

Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa says that we have reached a critical juncture in the implementation of the largest vaccination program in the history of Sri Lanka.

The Sinopharm vaccine was administered at four locations in the Hambantota District to about 1,000 people, including 500 hotel staff, tour guides, tour drivers and 150 safari drivers with the guidence of Namal Rajapaksa, Minister of Sports and Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister of Tourism.

A program has been launched to reopen the country that was devastated by the Corona epidemic and to improve economic and social stability. Foremost among these and the work that the world believes is that the country can be opened up in the vaccination program. Sri Lanka is the most successful country in controlling this epidemic in the South Asian region, he said.

He said these while he was speaking at the inauguration of a vaccination program for over 500,000 people in the tourism sector.
