General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Starling and others staged a protest at the Mullaitivu Army Quarantine Center after being arrested and released on bail while they are on quarantine.

Joseph Starling and 31 others were arrested and released on bail for allegedly violating the centre tine rules at the Parliament Roundabout, but were taken to an Army quarantine centre in Mullaitivu for violating the quarantine rules.

Later last night, Joseph Starling and others protested using the resources of the Quarantine Center, demanding the government to withdraw the Kotelawala Defense University Bill.

The convener of the Joint Unemployed Graduates Association Ven. Thenne Gnanananda Thero and the Media Secretary of the Jathika Bhikku Peramuna Ven. Koswatte Mahanama Thero also participated in the protest.
