Chunnakam Police said that 04 sharp swords were found abandoned near a paddy field in the Thavadi Thottaveli area in the Jaffna Chunnakam Police Division.

A resident of the area was spotted wrapped in a bag of fertilizer near a paddy field in the Thottaveli area and the police took action to remove the swords after informing the police.

It is suspected that swards have been used to injure eight persons at a studio in Selvapuram, Kondavil recently.

The police further stated bloodstains were found to have blood stains on them and the gangsbecausetheir swords due to the fact that several police or STF teams have launched operations to arrest the armed groups.
