Former Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga says that the fall of cricket in Sri Lanka was due to Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene.
He also says that cricket has collapsed due to Mahela Sangakkara not forming a second tier during his tenure and points out that they did not play for the country but only for their records.
He also says that the present Minister of Sports, Namal Rajapaksa, has also failed when it comes to uplifting Sri Lankas cricket.
He made these comments in an interview with a youtube channel.
