An unidentified group broke into a house and damaged properties in Jaffna

An unidentified group broke into a house in the Puttur area in the Kopay police division in Jaffna with sharp weapons, damaging several properties including motorcycles in the house and fleeing on a Saturday night, police said.

Residents told police that a group of six motorcyclists with masks stormed a house in the Puttur area on Saturday night and flee away after damaging three motorcycles in front of the house and damaging several other properties in the house.

The perpetrators of the attack have not been identified and homeowners were not harmed in the incident.

Kopay police said that it is suspected that the attack may have been due to personal reasons and an investigation has been launched to arrest the suspects.
