A large number of parliamentarians have come forward to resign from their seats to allow Basil Rajapaksa to enter parliament.

Mr Ranjith Bandara, the Member of Parliament appointed by the People’s Front says that all the National List Members of the Sri Lanka People’s Front are ready to resign.

Basil Rajapaksa is set to enter parliament at the next session and a National List MP is due to resign. After entering Parliament, Basil Rajapaksa will be sworn in as a Minister with several financial responsibilities.
