Former Member of Parliament for the JVP Sunil Handunneththi states that if food is to be produced in the country using organic fertilizer, the food items imported to the country should also be those made using organic fertilizer.

He says that food items such as wheat flour, dhal, chickpeas and green peas imported into the country should also be investigated for the use of organic fertilizers.

He said these while joining to an interview with Sirasa TV.
