postal workers on a countrywide sick leave

Sri Lanka Post and Telecommunication Services Union has launched a countrywide sick leave trade union action from yesterday (March 30)

The strike was launched based on several demands including government’s decision to recruit officers againsting the standard recruitment procedures, the Union’s Chief Chinthaka Bandara said.

Even the Postal Department has cancelled the leave of all postal workers the trade union action will be processed, Joint Postal Trade Union (JPTU) said.
