[28/03, 10:27] Prasa: Two persons dead after being trapped in a gem mine

Two mens have been reported dead after being trapped in a gem mine in the Weralupitiya area in Avissawella yesterday (March 27), Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.

The incident had happened around 7 pm last night and thr power supply of the mine waa interupted and cut off due to the heavy rain occurred last night. The two persons who entered the mine at that time got trapped inside.

Deceased men were reported 44 and 45 years old and the bodies have been placed at the Avissawella Hospital, DIG Ajith Rohana said.

Police investigations will be carried out to ascertain the cause of death.

A suicide bomber detonated blasted as people were leaving a service for Palm Easter Sunday outside a Catholic church in the Indonesian city of Makassar Indonesia today ( March 28)

It was reported that at least 10 people were injured from the incident but no one has yet not claimed that who is behind this attack.

Father Wilhemus Tulak, a priest at the church said security guards had tackled the suspected bomber and also explained that attacker arrived by motorbike and tried to get into the church.
