Army rescue teams recover remains of a missing hiker

A group of hikers had climbed Narangala Ridge in Badulla on 26th of February. They had ignored the DMC warning against night camping.
Later they had found that one of their team member was gone missing and called police 119 for help. Then the rescue turned to the 112 Brigade seeking assistance of Army rescue teams.
Then they had found one of them dead after falling from a 700 ft precipice. The person who died AkalankaPerera was 24 years old and had worked for a privert company in Awissawella. The remains of the person were handed over to the Police.
