The following four scholarships are invited to submit applications; Nehru Memorial Scholarship Scheme: Undergraduate courses (except Medical/Paramedical& Fashion Design course) including Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, Commerce, Humanities and Arts). Maulana Azad Scholarship Scheme: Masters Degrees (except Medical/Paramedical& Fashion Design course) including Engineering, Science, Economics, Commerce, Humanities and Arts. However, preference would be given to the fields of Engineering, Science and Agriculture. Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme: Undergraduate courses in the field of ‘Information Technology’ leading to a B.E or B.Tech Degree. Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme: PhD Degrees in all subjects except Medical/ Paramedical& Fashion Design course.

Customs arrested a airport janitor with Rs 220 million worth gold
Customs officers arrested a janitorial worker worked at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) for smuggling 17kg of gold worth more than Rs.220 today. He tried to smuggle it through a disposal channel. The gold was brought from Dubai and handed over to the Janitorial worker at the airport and they were planning to giving them to a unknown person outside the airport.
