The owner of a car that dived unsafe on the highway Identified

It is reported that the owner of the car that was driving unsafely on the southern high way has been identified. It has been revealed that the owner was a resident of Peradeniya and had already sold the car to a resident of Alawatugoda. A video of a light blue colour car driving unsafely on the Southern Expressway is currently circulating on social media and it shows a group of boys traveling in a car sitting unsafely on the windows of the vehicle and they had put their bodies outside the vehicle. The incident had taken place in between the Kadawatha to Matara section of the Southern Expressway and the police have commenced an investigation into the incident.

Police raided an illegal liquor factory in Jaffna

The Jaffna Divisional Crime Investigation Unit has raided an illegal liquor factory. It was located Jaffna Hospital Road. It has been reported that liquor is being manufactured illegally and labeled in the market as approved by the government, police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana stated. Police had seized 42 bottles of 750 ml liquor, 262 bottles of 180 ml liquor and 3000 liters of liquor and illegal documents were seized. A 48-year-old suspect has been arrested in this connection. He is identified as a resident of Mallakkam area.

Man arrested with heroin and ice in Wattala

A person has been arrested in Wattala with 101 grams of heroin and 113 grams of ice. Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the suspect was also found in possession of Rs.1,036,670. Former NFL player Phillip Adams identified as South Carolina shooting suspect

Authorities in South Carolina police have identified the former NFL player Phillip Adams as the suspect shooting and killing five people. Also their grandchildren Adah Lesslie 9 years old and 5 years old Noah Lesslie killed along with them. Apart from that there house worker James Lewis was killed at the age 38. The shooting happened after President Joe Biden announced new gun control measures and the suspect was killed himself after a standoff with police. More than 80 people were killed in military crackdown in Bago Myanmar

Protests have been going on in Bago, as well asin other cities in Myanmar for more than two months. It is reported that more than 80 people have been killed by security forces in a crackdown on a protest in the city of Bago, Myanmar. Also the military is reported that they have taken away the bodies of killed ones and the true number of deaths may never be released to the media. Local media stated that “soldiers had used heavy weapons and had shot at anything that moved.” More than 600 people have been killed since the protests started in Myanmar.

The Police Headquarters has issued a special circular to all Police stations to prevent the spread of the corona virus which is increasing day by day in the country. Police say the public as well as the authorities are not following proper health advice. Due to this, special operations will be launched under the circular from today, said Police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana. DIG Ajith Rohana said that police will inspect shops, public transport and other locations and for people were found not wearing face masks or maintaining social distancing.
