A small whale with burn wounds had been dumped on the beach.

Local fishermen point out that the body of a small whale with burn wounds had been dumped on the Karadikkuli beach in the Musali Divisional Secretariat Division in Mannar yesterday evening (19). A group of fishermen in the area had spotted the whale when they were fishing and had informed the Mannar Assistant Fisheries Inspector’s Office.
