Former Minister of State for Finance in the Maldives identified by the 15 years old girl for sexually abusing case

The 15-year-old girl in Mt. Lavinia had identified four suspects during an identification parade in connection with the online purchase and abuse of her. The suspects were identified as Mohamed Ashmali, a former Minister of State for Finance in the Maldives, two hotel managers and a hotel employee in Bambalapitiya and Mount Lavinia. The underaged girl who died at Bathiudeen’s house has been raped.

Medical reports have confirmed that the the16-year-old girl who died of burns while working as a servant at the residence of Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Rishad Bathiudeen has been sexually abused for a long time. The girl had come to work at the MP’s house about 8 months ago, the Borella Police stated. According to the police, the medical report has confirmed that she had been abused before she started to working and an investigation is being carried out in the area where she resides.
A fire broke out at the Maradana Police Station

A fire broke out at the Maradana Police Station today morning (16). The fire has been brought under control and two fire engines of the Colombo Municipal Council have been deployed for the purpose. Underage girl who was working as a maid at former Minister Rishad Bathiudeens house has died

A 16-year-old girl who was staying as a maid at the house of former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen at Bauddhaloka Mawatha in Borella was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on July 3 with burn injuries. The girl died yesterday while receiving treatments at the hospital. Borella Police are conducting investigations.
A stock of Moderna Vaccine imported to Sri Lanka today

1.5 million doses of the Modarna vaccine manufactured in the United States were delivered to the Katunayake International Airport today. Sources from the Katunayake Airport said that the consignment of doses was brought by a Qatar Airways flight. The vaccine was donated to Sri Lanka by the United States of America under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) “Covax” program. State Minister of Coconut Development Arundika Fernando states that the President has permitted this as it is an essential fertilizer for coconut cultivation. However, he added that the import of urea fertilizer has been completely banned and plans are afoot to supply nitrogen required for cultivation.
