Sri Lanka thanks to the United States for their help

US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alina Teplitz meets Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

On this occasion, the Secretary of State thanked the US Government and its people for their support in combating the covid-19 epidemic and in mitigating the environmental and socio-economic impact of the MV Express Pearl shipwreck.

He thanked the US government for providing emergency medical supplies such as personal protective equipment and oximeters and for vaccination through the Kovacs program with USAID American assistance.

The Foreign Minister also praised US private sector investment in the two countries’ use of strong political and economic bilateral cooperation.
