The former ministers of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna had suggested that the scopes should be gazetted and the ministers of state should be sworn in under a separate budget. But President Ranil Wickremesinghe has rejected the proposal. China’s largest solar-powered drone makes its maiden flight

China’s largest solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) completed its first flight last Saturday. This unmanned aerial vehicle, otherwise known as the drone, is known as the Pimingxing-50. Its English meaning is Morning Star-50. It has been developed by a company operating under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). This plane took off last Saturday in China’s Yulin city. Accordingly, the plane was taken off at around 5.50 pm and landed at 6.16 pm. The plane was flown for 26 minutes, and AVIC said that it operated in very good condition and that the trip was successful. 200 Qimingxing-50 3700 is also the first high-altitude long-range UAV model produced by AVIC. Accordingly, this aircraft can fly at a height of 15-20 kilometres from the ground at the lowest speed. Also, 100% of the energy required for the aircraft is provided by pure solar power. Accordingly, AVIC states that this is a fully electric-powered drone. According to the manufacturers, this aircraft can be used for high-altitude inspections, forest fire monitoring, atmospheric environment monitoring, geographic mapping, as well as a communication method.

This person is a 35-year-old mason. The police say that he was arrested after he came to the police with the bullet-laden bag. It has been revealed to the police during questioning that he went to the Galle Face protest area on the 9th of July and brought the ammunition bag that had fallen on the ground to his house.

The All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association states that the price of flour will rise again in a few days. If wheat flour becomes 420 rupees per kilo, a loaf of bread will go up to 320 rupees and if flour goes up to 450 rupees, a loaf of bread will go up to 350 rupees, he said. They further point out that due to the shortage of flour in the country, the price of bakery products will not rise.

The Dambulla police say that a woman was killed by cutting her throat with a sharp weapon in a house in Titavelgol Kottawela area of Dambulla police domain last night. .. The deceased is a 42-year-old mother of three from Padanchi of Kottawela village in Dambulla police domain. Preliminary investigations have confirmed that the husband committed the murder after an argument between her and her husband. The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners Association says that even though the price of gas is low today, the price of food in restaurants cannot be lowered. Mr. Asela Sampath, president of the association, said that due to the black market mafia, the prices of goods are not reduced and therefore consumers are suffering. He also mentioned that flour importers in Sri Lanka are stockpiling flour and releasing it at higher prices through the black market. He further said that although the price of gas is low, the price of food has not been reduced or increased.
