Lanka Premier League – Match Schedule Released

Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced that the 2021 Lanka Premier League will begin on December 05. The first match will be between Galle and Jaffna. The first round matches will be played at the Khettarama Stadium in Colombo and the finals will be played at the Sooriyawewa Stadium. The final will be held on December 23.
Fuel price increasing is in Basil Rajapakshas hand- Udaya Gammanpila

Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says that if the Ministry of Finance does not provide a subsidy for fuel prices, fuel prices will have to be increased in the future. He said that the Ceylon Ceylon Oil Company and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation have applied to the Ministry to increase fuel prices. He said the requests were already being considered and that no final decision had been made.

A Meeting between the Chief of the Indian Army and the President scheduled today

 The Commander of the Indian Army General Manoj Makund Narawana who is on a visit to the island is scheduled to meet President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today (13). Manoj Makund Narawana arrived in the island yesterday (12) on a five day visit at the invitation of General Shavendra Silva. The Indian Army Chief is scheduled to meet President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at 11.30 this morning. He is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and government security chiefs. The government has decided on exceeding the retirement age in the private sector

The Cabinet has decided not to increase fuel prices now. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday afternoon. The Minister of Energy has stated that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will incur huge losses due to the increase in fuel prices in the world market and the appreciation of the dollar. The President has said that fuel prices should not be increased today or tomorrow.
