Order received on the complaint against Vijayakala Maheswaran about the statement about LTTE

The complaint filed against former Minister of State Vijayakala Maheswaran, who is accused of making a statement regarding the LTTE, was called today.

The suspect Vijayakala Maheswaran, who was released on bail, appeared before the court today (28) when the complaint was taken before Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika C. Ragala.

The Organized Crime Investigation Unit, which is investigating the case, informed the court that it has not yet received instructions from the Attorney General on the legal action to be taken against her.

The magistrate then ordered that the complaint be called on June 10.

The investigation was launched following a complaint that former Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran had made a statement at a meeting at Weerasingham Hall in Jaffna in 2018 in a manner that would re-establish the LTTE.
