For the second day in a row yesterday (06), the number of covid-19 patients had crossed the 600 mark.

After 20 days, the number of daily covid-19 infections in the country crossed the 600 mark yesterday (05) and 617 new cases were identified yesterday (06), the Government Information Department said.

It is said that they all belong to the New Year covid cluster. Accordingly, the total number of covid-19 infections in the country has increased to 544,630.

 According to the Government Information Department, 514,912 covid patients have been cured and another 15,877 are receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed that 20 deaths due to covid infection had been reported on the previous day as well.

Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to covid-19 infection in the country has increased to 13,841, according to the Ministry of Health.
