Indian actress Sanjana Galrani has complained about the Colombo police alleging that her best friend had defrauded her money saying investing in a casino business in Colombo.

According to Indian newspapers, including The Times of India, Kannada actress Sanjana has accused her friend Rahul Tones and two others of extorting money from her by suggesting that she was investing in casinos in Colombo and Goa.

Sanjana and Rahul were arrested on drug charges in September 2020 and later released on bail. In the police complaint, Sanjana had stated that Rahul had taken the money saying that he was investing in casino businesses in Sri Lanka but he had failed to pay the profits of the money. She has also accused Rahul of defaming her and using the money obtained from her for illegal activities.
