Abdul Razak Gurna of Tanzania has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The Nobel Prize in Literature is awarded by the Swedish Academy.

The agency said he would receive the prize this time for “his uncompromising and compassionate analysis of the effects of colonialism and the fate of a refugee due to differences between culture and lifestyle.”
