It was revealed that five countries, including the United Kingdom, are planning to bring a resolution imposing sanctions on Sri Lanka, at the 48th UN Human Rights Council in Geneva next September.
This is because Sri Lanka voted in favour of China’s resolution against China at the UNHRC.
Britain, Macedonia, Canada, Germany and Montenegro have joined the resolution.
