Indians flee to Mannar due to fear of corona.

The Navy has repatriated four boats carrying 40 Indian nationals who were trying to enter Mannar to escape the threat of heavy corona in India.

The Navy has intercepted an attempt by 40 fishermen to enter Mannar using Indian fishing vessels off the coast of Mannar Due to the Corona threat in India during patrols conducted by the North and North Central Naval Command.

Security has been beefed up at the maritime border for 24 hours and the Indian High Commission and the Indian Coast Guard have been informed about the Indian nationals detained at the Mannar border and sent back, Navy said.
