The priority to Buddhism will be lost by the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill – Attorney-at-Law Aruna Laksiri Unawatuna

Attorney-at-Law Aruna Laksiri Unawatuna stated that the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill will deprive Buddhism of its priority in Article 9 of the Constitution.

He has sent a letter to the Secretary to the Ministry of Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs stating this.

He trequested that action be taken to protect Article 9 of the Constitution in taking further legal action regarding the relevant draft of the economic commission bill of the port city.
