What Happened to Sri Lanka-India Ferry Service ?

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation has announced the much-anticipated resumption of the passenger ferry service between Sri Lanka and India, another effort to increase connectivity between the two neighboring nations.

The service, which had been suspended, is slated to recommence operations starting next week.

KDS Ruwanchandra, the secretary of the ministry, confirmed that preparations are underway for a trial voyage to Nagapattinam in India.
