Taiwan says 27 Chinese warplanes have entered its air defense zone.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense said that China is flying warplanes, including fighter jets, to warn its country.
Meanwhile, China says that the 5-day military exercise is planned to start.
China’s Ministry of Defense noted that the exercise will take place in some of the world’s busiest waterways and will include long-range live ammunition firing.
Taiwan President Tsai In-wen said China’s military exercise is a premeditated threat.
China is following the tough measures in response to US Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
