Foreign media has reported that three people have been killed by lightning in a park in front of the White House in the capital of Washington, USA.
On Friday afternoon, a 29-year-old man died of injuries and two people were also reported dead in heavy thunderstorms that occurred hours earlier on Thursday evening.
According to the information, 76-year-old and 75-year-old persons from the US state of Wisconsin died the previous day.
The media reported that the victims were standing under a tree in Lafayette Park when they crashed. A fourth person, who was seriously injured, was taken to hospital and there is no new information on his condition.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said she was “shocked by the tragic loss of life after the lightning strike in Lafayette Park.”
