A Russian-led anti-war protester interrupted a live news broadcast on Russia’s state television channel on Monday, holding a presenter behind a studio and shouting slogans condemning the war in Ukraine.

 The board said in English and Russian: “No war. Stop the war. Do not believe the propaganda. They are lying to you here. “Another phrase like” Russians against war “was partially obscure.

“Stop the war, not  war,” shouted the female protester as the newscaster read from her teleprompter.

The protester could be seen and heard for a few seconds before switching to another record to remove the channel from the screen.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy recalled and thanked the protester in his nightly video address: “I am grateful to the Russians for not stopping to try to tell the truth.

Tell the truth to those who fight against misinformation and tell the truth, to their friends and loved ones, “Zelenskiy said. It is reported that the video of this event has been viewed by more than 2.6 million people.
