There is not enough papers to print text books

The Ceylon Teachers Association states that the Ministry of Education is ready not to print the 33 lakh textbooks required for school students for the year 2023.

Its Chief Secretary Mr Joseph Stalin mentions that it has been decided to take this step due to the expenditure of 1600 crore rupees on the printing of textbooks and the shortage of paper.

Accordingly, the authorities are working to collect the old textbooks and give them to the children, he said.
