Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka-Powercut duration will increase over 7 to 8 hours

The supplier who gave the lowest bid has informed that it is not possible to supply coal to Sri Lanka at the moment.

The companies in Sri Lanka have informed that they will take this decision until the allegations leveled against their company are resolved legally.

In the meantime, the Public Utilities Commission states that if the necessary stocks of coal are not received in the country by the 25th, all the generators of the Norochchola Power Plant will be disabled.

Then the commission says that the power cut will have to be done over seven or eight hours.
