Inflation in Sri Lanka-Bread sold for 260 and a bun for 100 even now

With the shortage of wheat flour in the plantation areas, consumers have faced various difficulties as some traders have deliberately increased the prices of wheat flour and bread buns.

Consumers say that some traders are selling wheat flour at a price between 375 and 400 rupees, bread at 240-260 rupees and buns at a price between 80-100 rupees.

They further say that these traders know that wheat flour-related foods are eaten in abundance in those areas and are extorting the prices of wheat flour and wheat flour-related foods.
