A person has died from a gunshot in the Rathgama area.
Police said two unidentified men came on a motorcycle and fired with a T56 type firearm and fled.
A 45-year-old resident of Rathgama, Devenigoda has died due to gunshot wounds.
Two other people were injured in the incident and they are currently receiving treatment at Karapitiya Hospital.
Police said that further investigations are underway regarding the shooting.
