Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued warrants to arrest Lahiru Weerasekera and Reverend Tampitiya Sugathananda Thero and bring them to court.

That is due to failure to appear for a case.

Social activist Pathum Kerner has surrendered to the Colombo Crimes Division. Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Advocate Mr. Nihal Talduwa said that he was arrested there.

 The Police Media Spokesperson also said that the arrest was made in connection with the protest at the Polduwa intersection.

Meanwhile, the arrested Anthony Veranga Pushpika de Silva has been remanded until the 9th of next month. Anthony Veranga Pushpika de Silva was arrested on charges of violating court orders, holding demonstrations, and using criminal force on police officers.
