Sri Lanka’s government appears strong in parliament but public support is weak – Fitch Ratings

Fitch Ratings says that although the Sri Lankan government looks strong in the parliament, the public support for them is weak.

 Fitch Ratings points out that there are many politicians of the Podujana Peramuna, who are very close to the Rajapaksa family, in the parliament and the government, so it could be a reason for further public opposition.

Fitch Ratings is an international credit rating agency recognized by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
