Mr Nuwan Bopage, a lawyer, states that there are plans to arrest hundreds of Galle face protesters. It’s for allegedly entering the presidential palace and damaging it.

He also said that there is an attempt to detain the group in prisons until the court proceedings are completed under the Antiquities Act.

Not only that he also claims that the proceedings have already been started to obtain various court orders and to file cases through the police.

He further said that all possible measures will be taken to defeat the conspiracy of using the police and the judiciary as repressive agencies.
