A plane is turned back in the air saying that it cannot give transport to then president Gotabaya Rajapaksa

Media sources said that a plane that was flying to Singapore via the Maldives refused to take the then President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the Male airport and was returned to India without landing.

This plane, which took off from India, was brought back to India half an hour after it took off to go to the Maldives.

 It has been revealed that the President of Sri Lanka and the President’s wife planning to take the plane and the authorities instructed the pilots to bring the flight back.

The sources further said that although three planes were prepared to take the President from the Maldives to Singapore, they refused to take those planes due to various international pressures.
