Top Indian delegation on a special flight to check the situation before giving more loans to Sri Lanka

High-level Authorised Officers from the Government of India are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow on a special flight to monitor the situation in Sri Lanka before further financial assistance is provided to Sri Lanka.

The delegation will stay in Sri Lanka for only three hours and will hold discussions with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Addressing Parliament, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the delegation would come to Sri Lanka to discuss the current crisis in Sri Lanka and future loan programs.
