MP Patali Champika Ranawaka says that he will be an independent member of the opposition from today (08).

He said that he had also informed the leader of the Samagi Jana Balawega in writing about this.

He further added that he did not decide out of personal anger or hatred towards anyone.

Also, he rejected the media claims that he’s expecting a ministry.
