President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia hopes to capture southeastern Ukraine, launching a missile attack on the strategic Black Sea port of Odesa.
Ukraine says it has regained control of “the whole of Kiev” after Russian troops withdrew from major cities near the Ukrainian capital.
The mayor of Bucha, near Kiev, says 300 people have been buried in the city’s mass grave and the streets are littered with the bodies of people killed by Russian forces.

Ukraine’s top negotiator says Russia has “orally” agreed to key Ukrainian resolutions.
Fires were reported in Odessa after the airstrikes
The airstrikes shook the strategic Black Sea port city of Odessa, and officials and journalists reported wildfires in some areas.
Odessa was attacked from the air, ”Anton Hereshchenko, an adviser to the interior minister, wrote in his Telegram account.
“Forest fires were reported in some areas. Some of the missiles were dropped by air defense.
An AFP reporter heard explosions in the southwestern city at 6:00 am (GMT 0300). The blast sent at least three strips of black smoke, apparently in an industrial area.
A soldier near the scene of one of the attacks said it could be a rocket or a missile.
Explosions heard at Odesa:
